Where To Get Acrylic Nails

The reason why one needs to get acrylic nails is not alien to anybody. If you already have pretty and strong nails you are not going to need acrylics. However, if your nails chip off, are weak, curved or you simply bite them off, it’s not a pretty site. This should not dishearten you though because you can get acrylic nails that will artificially add length to your nails. You can simply call them add on nails and they sure are a boon.

Often acrylic nails have been discussed, so if you want a good job done, then you need to head to the right parlor. Call them early to let them know you’re getting there or else there’s always the walk in option. You are going to need to have time in hand because this isn’t one of your touch-up sessions where you dash in and out. When you choose to do a full set of acrylic nails, you could be looking at a 2 ˝ hours time frame, especially if the tech in question uses a manual file. Of course if your acrylic nails are going to be done by a drill, you can expect the job to be completed in half the time. The same holds true in case this happens to be a ‘maintenance’ appointment. The timing is comparatively lesser and in a similar proportion.

Once they sit you down in a comfortable position with your elbows resting on cushions, you’ll be asked to stretch your hands towards the person who waits on you. At first, there’ll be cleaning and softening of the nails. Then they will trim and buff your nails. Once complete, the plastic tips are added carefully to extend the length of your nails. When the plastic extensions are being added, they are pressed down for a while so as to provide ample time for the adhesive to cure. If this procedure is hastened you’ll have weak bonds causing your acrylics to fall apart rather than stay on as nail extensions. Once the acrylic is applied, they again trim, shape and buff the nails as this gives a very natural look. At this point the acrylic is applied. Thereafter the polish or airbrush technique is applied and you will be required to wait for a set period. During this wait period, your nails are placed under a UV light or in line of a fan in order to quicken the drying procedure.
